Dr. Sukumaran Nair hails from the northern state of Malaysia and finished his higher education at Sultan Abdul Hamid College in Alor Setar, Kedah.

He joined the Royal Malaysian Police in 1980 as a Probationary Inspector and took an optional retirement as an Assistant Superintendent of Police in 2000. He has 39 years of security experience in various fields primarily in the areas of surveillance, discreet investigations, interrogations, technical investigative aids, covert surveillance techniques, criminal and prosecution laws, jungle warfare and urban guerilla warfare tactics including other areas of policing and community related works while serving in the Royal Malaysian Police for 20 years.

His tertiary education majors him in law and he has attained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Asian E University (“AEU”) in 2010. He has also successfully completed his dual Doctorate in Business Administration, DBA from the International Business School of Scandinavia, IBBS and International Business Academy of Switzerland, IBAS based in Zurich Switzerland since 2016.

He is the Founder and Director of KAMI Security Services Sdn Bhd, a government licensed security company in Malaysia. This Company which started in 2008 is in the business of providing manned guards, armed guards, private investigations, Close Protection Services, CIT, Security Systems and consultancy, security trainings and certifications, other fraud related investigations including collation of information and general security professional consultancies.

He is an associate lecturer in AEU and a certified trainer for Singapore Institute for Industrial and Security Management, SIMM. He is also a certified trainer for Guarding Security Requirements for the Transported Asset Protection Association (“TAPA”) Asia Pacific.

He is a Certified Specialist in CATS (Counter Anti-Terrorism Specialist), Certified Crime Prevention Specialist (CCPS) and Certified Specialist in Security Management (CCSM). He also holds a Certificate in Security Risk & Crisis Management and a Certificate in Business & Corporate Security Management. All these certifications are from the Certified Institute of International Security Management (CIISM). The certifications received are since 2014 to date.

He is also a Level 3 Qualified Elite Close Protection Operative (CPO) certified by the British Security Industries Association (BSIA) United Kingdom.

He is also a member of the Malaysian Association of Security Organization (PIKM), a life member of ASIA Pacific Security Association (APSA), a member of TAPA, a member of The Chartered International Institute of Security & Risk Management (CIISM), a member of the Ex- Senior Malaysian Police Officers Association and an Honorary member of the Ex- Senior Malaysian Immigration Officers Association.

Dr. Sukumaran Nair has 39 years of Security experience in various fields including national and corporate security arena making him a sought-after advisor, consultant and lecturer in the field of recruitment & training, security enforcement, management, surveillance needs, digital & technical security and other areas of tactical and commercial security market needs.

He is also the founder and Director of Agensi Pekerjaan KAMI Innovasi Sdn Bhd, a company licensed under the ministry of Human Resources in relation to conducting business in the recruitment, search and placement for local and foreigners in Malaysia. He owns a License ‘C’ certificate which is the highest level of placement license authorised in Malaysia.

He is also the founder and owner of Elite International Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a training company associated with United Kingdom, Britain. Elite International (M) Sdn Bhd is the only company in Malaysia and Asia Pacific to conduct courses and training under the UK Government authority through Elite International UK for Close Protection and other related security-based trainings and courses in this region.

Dr. Sukumaran Nair strives to be the best in the security, manpower and training industry in Malaysia through his vast experience and knowledge in those related fields within Malaysia and internationally.

Tengku Dato' Setia Putra Al-Haj bin Tengku Azman Shah Al-Haj (“Tengku Dato’ Setia Putra Al-Haj”) was born on 22 July 1951 in Kota Bahru, Kelantan. He is the first child of the Tengku Bendahara Tengku Azman Shah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Hisamuddin Alam Shah and Tengku Thuraya Puteri binti Al-Marhum Sultan Ibrahim (Tengku Puan Bendahara of Selangor), a Princess of Kelantan. Tengku Dato' Setia Putra Alhaj was a Navy Aide-de-Camp and personal assistant to his uncle Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Alhaj who was Sultan of Selangor and 11th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia prior to joining the corporate world.

Tengku Putra Al-haj has extensive interest in Civil and Building Construction, Property Development, Design and Manufacturing Specialist Vehicles such as Fire Engines and Ambulance. Under his leadership, his partner companies had successfully completed several privatisation and joint ventures with the State governments of Selangor and Johor. One of these well-known achievements is the development of a premier resort and USGA class championship Golf Course Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Golf Club in Shah Alam, Malaysia. Over and above that, he had also been appointed as the Chairman for the Sultan Abdul Aziz Royal Gallery in Selangor to preserve the royal culture of his ancestors.

On 7 September 1985, Tengku Putra Al-haj was awarded the title "SETIA" for his loyalty to the state and was later awarded the title "DATO". On 1 December 2004, the current Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj had conferred upon Tengku Dato' Setia Putra Alhaj the title "Orang Besar Istana" (Palace Major Chief) which carried the title "Tengku Indera Pahlawan Diraja" for the state of Selangor. Tengku Dato' Setia Putra Alhaj was also promoted and appointed to be a member of the Council of the Royal Court in 2007. At present, Tengku Putra Al-haj carries the title "DATO SETIA". Tengku Putra Al-Haj is one of the pioneers of KAMI Security. His shared vision for the company has propelled KAMI to what it is today, market leaders in the security industry. His constant encouragement to ensure all staff of KAMI adhere to the highest industry standards and practice has resulted in KAMI’s success. His 50 years of experience in a uniformed unit with the palace has placed KAMI as one of the preferred choices for guarding and protection within Malaysia.

Sankaran Shamugam (Shankar), holds a bachelors degree in Electrical and Electronical engineering from the University of Northumbria, Newcastle. Whilst pursuing his education, he also represented the state of Selangor and the district of Petaling Jaya in numerous football tournaments. He then began his career with Cisco Systems, one of the biggest developers and manufactures of networking/ telecommunications equipment and other high-technology services & products as an Inside Sales Development Representative. He also developed vast experience while working with one of the largest manpower recruitment companies managing their top 25 key account clients in Klang Valley.

He then joined KAMI Security Services in 2014 as a Business Development Manager and quickly moved up the ranks as a result of his grit and passion to master the workings of the security industry. Given his experience and breadth of knowledge in security systems and software, manpower and client retention, he quickly rose up the ranks to become the General Manager of KAMI. Today, he is leading KAMI as the Managing Director and has played an integral role in developing and innovating KAMI to be one of the top market players in the industry. He also continues to ensure his team in KAMI prioritises customer satisfaction at all times by creating a performance driven culture. His vision for the Company is for KAMI to be able to provide effective security solutions to all industries, private and public.

MAJOR GENERAL DATO PAHLAWAN AMIRUDIN MAHMUD BIN ALADAD KHAN (Retired)
He was born in Batu Gajah, Perak on July 14, 1950 and was a Malaysian Armed Forces Defence College and University Kebangsaan Malaysia graduate who successfully completed a Degree in Strategic and Security Studies. He started his military career upon graduating from the Royal Military College, Sungai Besi, Selangor on 23 April 1969. He retired from military services on July 14, 2006 after serving 37 years with the Malaysian Armed Forces.

Throughout 1971 to 1988, he held multiple positions starting from the rank of 2nd Lieutenant to Major. During this period, he held several staff and command appointments at various Malaysian Army establishments namely infantry units, Army Training Centre and in the Army Headquarters. In 1989 he was promoted to Lt Kolonel and was assigned to command the 18th Royal Malay Infantry Battalion in Sarawak. From 1996 to 2000, he was appointed as the Defence Attaché in Bangkok and was promoted to the rank of Brigade Commander in 2001 whereby he commanded the 2nd Infantry Brigade in Ipoh, Perak and later the Chief of Staff, Malaysian Army Headquarters. From 2004 to 2006, he was the General Officer Commanding 2nd Infantry Division in Penang. He then retired as a Two Star Major General in the Armed Forces.

He has attended various seminars, forums and military courses overseas and also participated in several bilateral military exercises with various ASEAN countries and allied forces.

His passion for all things security had led him to KAMI.
